Campus Currently Closed
GUCL suspended on-campus classes due to concerns about COVID-19 on March 16, 2020. The campus closed on March 19, 2020 as required by the authorities.
GUCL places an absolute priority on protecting the health and safety of our community. Our intention is to return to on-campus classes as soon as reasonably possible and only if the Administration, Board of Directors, and the authorities concur it is acceptable.

Remarkably, with a 53 year history as a classroom-based law program, GUCL transitioned to remote classes by March 23, 2020. Attendance has been excellent and students remain engaged in their studies.
GUCL students were surveyed about the remote experience. With the exception of minor technical issues (i.e. remembering to mute mics!), the feedback was favorable.
“I would like to thank the Deans and all of our friends at GUCL for your efforts and hard work to keep us on track and help us continue our education under the current circumstances. I am very grateful and I truly appreciate all your help and support. Hopefully, we will pass this chapter very soon and will go back to our normal life.”
“I appreciate that we had the opportunity to have class given that most California schools are closed.”
“Overall I really enjoyed it and am excited for the classes moving forward!”
“I was surprisingly able to ask questions and have them answered.”
“The session was as structured as can be, honestly, and flowed fine through the night.”
“The class had perfect structure and a great flow, I was able to ask questions, and I thought the Professor did an excellent job reviewing the information and keeping everything organized.”
“Hope the remainder of virtual classes remain the same.”
“Class was great and ran like clockwork.”
“I had a great time taking notes at home on my laptop and had absolutely no problems or issues with the platform.”
Updates and Resources
The GUCL Administration and Board of Directors are actively monitoring updates in public health safety guidelines and encourage all members of the community to do the same.
