About Us| History
Family is an integral part of the law student experience. Success in law school often hinges on the support of mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, extended family, and even children.
Family has also played a key role in the history of Glendale University College of Law. Visitors often comment on how comfortable and welcome they feel at Glendale. It feels this way for a reason.
Dr. Seymour Greitzer founded Glendale University College of Law in 1967. He believed the opportunity for legal education should be available to all those who possess the requisite abilities and intellect.
The initial focus of the school was to serve non-traditional students: students with families, students who needed to work while going to school, or were returning as an older student. The same emphasis characterizes the law school today although there has been a notable increase in the enrollment of recent college graduates.
Over the decades, Glendale University College of Law developed into a diverse community where students can find an abundance of academic and personal support. The unique environment at Glendale has facilitated the successful completion of a legal education by hundreds of men and women who may not otherwise have had the opportunity.
As prospective law students become acquainted with Glendale University College of Law, they discover both the Dean and Director of Admissions share a surname with the law school’s founder. Now, under the leadership of the second generation, Glendale University College of Law proudly continues to offer this remarkable opportunity.
